ABOUT THE 2024 RUN
The 2024 Grantham Santa Fun Run and Walk is a 2.5k route, with an optional extension to 5k. The route is set around the Wyndham and Queen Elizabeth Parks in Grantham and will take place on Sunday 8th December 2024, when we will see runners dressed in their Santa suits set off from outside the Visitor Centre, at approximately 11am.
Everyone who is registered and completes the run or walk will be awarded a Santa Fun Run medal.
We expect a flurry of red Santas of all ages, running and walking around Grantham’s beautiful parks, all having terrific fun in support of deserving charities based in Grantham, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
Registration
There is a cost to register of £14 for adults and those aged over 12.
Aged 5 to 12 cost £8 and aged 4 and under are free.
Runners MUST register before they can ask people to sponsor them.

Please enter the name of the person/s who wish to register for the run and provide an e-mail address.
Once registered you will be emailed a confirmation of your registration. Please print this confirmation out as you will need to bring it along with you when you collect your Santa Suit. All registered participants will receive a 2024 Santa Run commemorative medal.
If you provide your own Santa suit or fancy dress outfit, there is a reduced registration fee of £9 for adults and those aged over 12 and a fee of £3 for those aged 5 to 12.
Santa Suit Collection
Santa Suits may be collected from the Visitor Centre in Wyndham Park on dates to be confirmed.
Please print your confirmation e-mail and bring this along when you come to collect
Runner Numbers
The runner number you will be given is unique to you, so please do not swap this or give it away to anyone. Your runner number should be attached to the front of your Santa Suit, with the pins provided.
On The Day
Please try to arrive well before the start at 11am.
There will be a short “warm up session” at 10.45am hosted by our very own Healthy Elf. There is no requirement to register on the day. Simply arrive in your Santa Suit, with your runner number attached and head for the starting area.
Runners are advised to arrive in their Santa Suits as there are no covered changing facilities.
The Route
The route is through the beautiful Wyndham and Queen Elizabeth Parks.
There are two options, both of which may be run or walked:
2.5k route through Wyndham Park only
5k route through Wyndham Park with an extension through Queen Elizabeth Park.

At the Finish
After finishing the 2023 Grantham Santa Fun Run & Walk registered entrants will be awarded a commemorative medal.
There will be no timing or recording of positions or places.
Parking
There is free parking on Sundays at the following car parks: Wyndham Park car park, Castlegate car park and Welham Street car park. All are within easy walking distance.
Toilets
There are toilet facilities inside the Visitor Centre and also at the Old Pavilion Tea Rooms in Wyndham Park.
Photography and Drone Operation
The Grantham Santa Fun Run & Walk is an event held in a public space. Video and still photography (including aerial drone photography) may be taken of the event and its participants. By participating (as entrant or spectator) in the Grantham Santa Fun Run & Walk you consent to being filmed or photographed during the event and to any such images taken being used by the organisers, the sponsors or the supported charities for purposes associated with the promotion of this and future Grantham Santa Fun Runs and other charity events. To comply with CAA regulations participants agree to observe any instructions given to them by the drone operating company, either directly or via an event marshal or organiser. Should you have any concerns about drone operations, please contact the organisers.
Pushchairs and Young Children
The event is open to Santas of all ages.
Runners up to 8 years old must participate with a parent or responsible adult, which means that everyone needs to register to take part (aged 4 and under can register for free). Those aged 9 and over can run alone, but make sure that anyone aged 16 and under is accompanied by a parent or responsible adult on the day.
Medical Advice
Anyone who has a medical condition that we should be aware of should complete the Medical Information section on the back of their runner number. Make sure you write your name, emergency contact details and any medical information – including medication you may be taking.
Water Bottles
Please bring your own water bottle. Water will be available for a top-up. However, we do not intend to provide water in plastic bottles.
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Unless you specifically advise the Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Grantham Kesteven Trust Fund otherwise, the Rotary Club of Grantham Kesteven will hold any personal information we have obtained from yourself, securely and in accordance with its GDPR Policy. This information will only be used in respect of Event Registrations, Sponsors, Supporters and the Claiming of Gift Aid from the Charities Commission and will not be shared with third parties. A copy of the GDPR Policy will be supplied upon request.

Covid-19
Although COVID is still present in the Community the Rotary Club of Grantham Kesteven will be accepting entries for this event. Any Government guidelines in place will be strictly adhered to. We would ask that if individuals or any team member are displaying any Covid symptoms on the day of the event, they do not attend
